People Leave their Stories Don't

Beautiful how memories don't die. How one thing reminds you of another.
Photographs on mural walls
Gazals playing from an old transistor
The rusted gate of your ancestral home
Grandfather's collection of cassettes
Nights on the balcony with a candlelight when there's no electricity
The smell of your grandmother's favourite incense sticks
And the wave of emotions you feel when you imagine things and the faces attached to these memories.
They are irreplaceable.

Sometimes I feel, I should have embraced them while they lasted.
